Kike Memorial Medical Fund

Kike came to Casa de Fe in October, 2015. He was malnourished and sickly and spent many days in the hospital before arriving to our home for children. Kike was diagnosed with advanced hereditary retinoblastoma and began treatment in November. He received 6 months of treatment in Ecuador and then made the trip to the United States to receive treatment at Children's Hospital of Denver in June of 2016. There were many ups and downs as he battled this cancer for the next 15 months. Kike passed away peacefully on October 10, 2017 surrounded by his foster family. His family in the United States requests that any memorial offerings and donations be sent to Casa de Fe for the future medical expenses of our special needs children, including Kike's sister, who was recently diagnosed with the same type of cancer.
