Nila came to live with us in January of 2009. Her mother is mentally unstable and often forgets to care for Nila. During one of those rare times when she was thinking straight she came with a Social Worker and asked us to take care of her daughter. She and the Social Worker both said if the mother returns later asking for her daughter don’t give her back. Nila is happy and healthy now living at Casa de Fe.
