Edison is a truly amazing child the second after Cintia that God sent for me to care for.
Edison’s mother was raped by her father. Not something most people would publicize but an important fact to know as it is serious problem her in Ecuador. At 6 months of age, his mother herself only 15 years old gave Edison over to a Catholic orphanage. All of this before he was diagnosed as being profoundly deaf.
Edison came to live with us when he was 2 years old. He had already been fitted with 2 hearing aids at the time but due to his profound hearing loss the aid did little to improve his hearing. Edison goes to a school for the deaf 3 hours away from Shell where he boards through the week and comes home on the weekends. Edison is adoptable!!!
