Casa de Fe Mission Statement
Believing that all children are created in God’s image, Casa de Fe exists as an integral part of the body of Christ, focused on rescuing abandoned, abused and special needs children, providing for their physical, spiritual, and educational needs, in a loving supportive home environment, with the ultimate goal of assisting each of God’s children to achieve their highest potential in His Kingdom.
- Casa de Fe’s special needs, abused and abandoned children are special children of our God, who makes no mistakes in His creation and who commands each of us to care for and love “even the most humble among us.”
- CdF is an integral part of the greater body of Christ. It is our desire to share in God’s work with our prayer, financial and volunteer partners in a way that honors and glorifies Him.
- The children we love, educate and serve have been abandoned, many have been abused and a large minority have physical or mental handicaps. Many come from distant Amazonian jungle villages with no other available social support.
- Providing for the daily physical needs of the children consumes the majority of our monthly budget. It takes $18,000 per month to feed, clothe, house and care for our 50+ children.
- We also provide for their routine medical needs through the care of our on-staff nurse, as well as the very expensive surgeries, medicines and therapies required by our special needs children.
- At CdF we educate our children in a small classroom atmosphere with Christ at the center of our educational program. Bilingual instruction is provided by both Ecuadorian and English-speaking teachers. Our goal is to enable our students to pursue an advanced degree at a Spanish or English speaking institution.
- CdF provides a loving environment for the children we serve. As we are able to build and complete the 15 planned individual homes, we will have house parents who will provide a family atmosphere for each of our children.
- We believe that the sanctification process is ongoing and hope to serve and minister to all whom God brings to CdF: the children, Tias, missionary staff, native construction workers and visitors. It is our goal to minister to all in the body of Christ whose paths intersect with ours at CdF.
